Lilith slept all through the night praying that she wouldn't be killed by her former friends. Even if the dream turned bad she would force herself to continue for fear she would wake up before daybreak. Her dreams weren't even helpful.

In one dream she was in a river drowning in and Alchemy just stared at the dying girl. She grinned as Lilith’s final breaths were upon her. Kairi then pulled her out when she “died” and used a scalpel on her corpse.  It cut her open to reveal a tiny fetus that cried loudly for its dead mother. Lilith’s body turned to ash and the fetus transformed into a toddler. The toddler had short black hair and porcelain, pale skin. It wore a black dress with black Mary Janes. The ashes turned into a much older version of Lilith wearing a more revealing, slim black dress and her hair was also the color of the toddler. She saw Kairi older as well with black and red hair in jeans and a stripped sweater the same color as her hair. Alchemy had left without any warning. The toddler went to its mother with her arms raised upward. It raised its head to show black, soulless eyes.

“Mommy, why doesn't daddy love me?” she asked.

“I don’t know. He loves you like he loves me.”

“Your lying.” The toddler changed into a teenage girl and the forest turned dark and filled to the brim with hate.

The girl wore a more Victorian styled outfit similar to Alice but covered in blood stains. She held a katana in one hand and a decapitated head of a white rabbit the size of a human’s skull. The girl is sobbing but Lilith couldn't tell much for her eyes were covered from her long bangs. Snot began to drip as Lilith backed away from the insane child.

“Mommy doesn’t love me? Is it because I kill? Am I too insane to be your daughter anymore?” She kept walking toward the scared adult. Kairi was hiding behind a misshapen tree holding a teenage boy with black and blue hair.

“Kairi. Kairi help me. I can’t stop her by myself. Kairi!”

“Sis, you've really messed up everything. For me, for my son, and everyone involved in this madness can’t save you.” Kairi held the boy close. “You’re on your own.” She closed her eyes, transporting the two of them away.

“Kairi! Don’t leave me alone with this monster.” Lilith got on her knees and cried.

The girl dropped the rabbit’s head and touched her mother’s hair. “Don’t cry Mother, I won’t kill you.”

“Thank you.” She lifted her head to see her daughter wave her katana in the air.

“Mommy needs help. She just treated her own child as a monster. I’m not a monster, just love me like Kairi-obasan loves Vincent and I will spare you.”

“No. I can’t love someone who becomes lost in the madness.”

“Too bad. I thought we were going to have a happy ending like all the other fairytales. I guess we lose.” She swung the blade into Lilith’s neck. Her body went limp and the child grabbed the head.

She brought the head to the river and threw it in making a splash. She left as the head drifted down to the bottom where mermaids feasted on her brains.

Lilith awoke after that dream still on the plane and sunrise peaking through with joy and laughter. She sighed thanking the gods that she survived the nightmare in one piece. Alchemy had tapped her on the shoulder and told her to move as the stewardess from earlier gave her some soda. Lilith then asked for one and something to eat off the breakfast menu. She ate her fill of breakfast and wanting some comfort, she went to bother Alchemy who was still eating a blueberry muffin.

            “Yeph? (Swallows) What up Lily?”

“I was still wondering if you were still mad at me, for whatever I’ve done to make you upset.”

“Eris, I’m not mad. If I was, everyone on this plane would feel my wrath. You did what most people do when they get drunk, keep drinking until every last drop is gone. In your case drinking means becoming vampire like and almost killing a guy.” Lilith laughed at her friend’s joke. Alchemy always knew what to say after something went wrong.

“So, how was your rest?” asked Lilith.

“It was fine. I had a dream where I was at the Rock Fest of Ages with my best friend. We were having a ball.” Alchemy replied.

“I had a nightmare that involved my child chopping off my head and feeding it to starving mermaids.”

“Mermaids crave flesh? I always thought they were kind fish that like to lure men to their death at sea.”

“I don’t know much about mermaids, but the Book can tell us about them later. When are we getting to England? I haven’t been this bored when I was trapped in my room.”

“I think the plane is going down, I can see many things outside the window.”

Lilith looked down into the window, there were a few buildings and greenery from where she could see. She felt herself going sideways as the plane made a big turn waking Kairi and other passengers.

“Attention passengers, we will be landing in England in just a few minutes so I’d advise you to buckle up and get ready to land.”

A few minutes later Lilith and her family had sat down in the baggage claim while her father, Alston went to get the bags. Alchemy was lying on her butt on the floor, looking at all the sights of English advertisements in one little area. Kairi was listening to her portable CD player jamming to the latest pop songs from Japan that she was fond of. Lilith, however, was keeping a close eye on the shadows around her. Her mind was possibly playing tricks on her but she wasn’t taking any chances.

Shadows didn't look as dangerous as the ones on the plane so she let down some of her guard. She opened up her bag and began to read a comic book she was given by her father. She didn't pay any attention to Alston bumping her with her suitcase.

            “Hey kiddo, here’s your suitcase.”

“Thanks dad.” Lilith grabbed the medium sized suitcase and dragged it behind her as they walked out of the luggage claim.

Her mother told them that their bosses had given them a rental car for them to ride in. The car was an ordinary black minivan, able to hold five kids and two adults in the front. Her father was driving them to the hotel while her mother just sat next to him. Alchemy sat in the middle since she was the shortest and Lilith sat on the left of the car.

“Remember guys, in America they drive on the right side, the Japanese drive on the left and the…” her father waited for their answer like they were five.

“The English drive on the … left?” said Lilith.

“Correct. You win nothing but knowledge.” Lilith huffed as there was no prize to be claimed.

They drove past many common things England had to offer. She was glad to be in her Ancestral Homeland for the first time, it made her feel special to be granted access to such beauty. Maybe one day she would live in America and see her second home her grandparents lived at. She hadn’t seen them since last Christmas in 1994 when she was only twelve. They were those kind of grandparents that understand you and give you presents that actually go with your personality and likes. They even approved of Alchemy breaking in the estate to meet them for the first time.

The car continued on the roads of England while her parents pointed out all the monuments in England. They kept driving for about twenty minutes until something caught Lilith’s attention. She saw some people handing out flyers for some event that was happening. She asked her dad to stop the car so she could get the flyer for the Rock Fest of Ages to get a better idea of what was to come.

“Sure, just make sure you let us read it. We don’t want you listening to the wrong crowd.” He said to her.

            “Thanks.”

Her father parked the car in a spot close to the booth that held the flyers as Lilith rushed out the car with Alchemy following behind her. She came across a tall woman in dark, punk makeup speaking to a passerby taking a look at the flyers. She looked college like and was full of spunk with every move she made.

“Hiyah you young poppies are lookin’ for the Rock Fest ov’ Ages?”

“Ah, yeah we are here for the flyers.” Said Lilith. English was her first language after all, she was barely taught Japanese.

“Well just your luck we ave’ some for teenagers like ye selves. The fest is for teen an’ adults so don’t worry about not having parents around ya. They have to have permission to let ya go first.”

            Lilith took the flyer. “Thanks.”

“See ya poppies there.” The lady waved goodbye and continues to sell the flyers.

The girls went back to their car and continued to drive. Lilith looked at the flyer. It was black and red text appeared on it. An image of guitars with white flames appeared around the corners. It read:

“Where’s this Graveyard at?” asked Alchemy.

“I don’t know but hopefully we won’t have to search every graveyard in England to get tickets.” said Lilith.

“Hand me the flyer, I might know what they’re talking about.” Her mother took the flyer from Lilith. “I swear, rock bands like Alice Cooper make the genre much more interesting.”

“Triple Six does sound like 666, like in the Bible.” Alchemy paused. “We promise they don’t mention anything about Satan being better than God.”

“Right, anyway this Graveyard their talking about is a club that is in an actual rundown graveyard that closed years ago. Your father and I went there before when we were in college. Ah, remember the time when we had that skull milkshake and you almost killed a dog that tried to get ‘friendly’ with me?”

“Yep. I hate it when some dog tries to mess with my girl, they get bit with silver.” Her father replied.

“So can we go to this graveyard or what?” said Lilith.

“Yes, you can go as long as you stay away from things that tell you to get in their white van.” Her father demanded.

When they finally made it to the hotel in down town London, they went into their own rooms. One room for Alston and Beatrice, one room for Kairi, and one room for Lilith and Alchemy. All three rooms where interlocked so they could visit each other’s rooms if needed. Lilith’s room had two beds, a mini kitchen, a bathroom with bath and shower head combo, and a balcony to relax and see England for what it’s worth.

Lilith plopped down on the bed closest to the balcony and Alchemy did the same as hers was closer to the door. Lilith’s parents told them that they could purchase the tickets during lunch, for it was the time when humans loitered the place. Alchemy, however, would possibly be scanned to check if she was human. Just having human like features didn't make one human after all.

The girls began to unpack their things for they were going to be in England for a while. It was Friday and the Rock Fest of Ages was tomorrow night at sundown. Her parents also warned them about any creatures that would be lurking around the fest. Lilith also had to keep the Book with her at all times for if she left it at home and needed it or if they found out she didn't have it on her, they could steal it from the hotel.

The girls looked through their clothes and picked out the ones that would make them look less suspicious when they had somewhat packed earlier. Lilith changed into a dark red hoodie with a black, painted skull on the back and black skinny jeans with dark red gym shoes. Alchemy went with a blue shirt that said “Bite the Hand that Feeds” in white, Gothic font and kept her blue jeans and white shoes. Lilith grabbed her bag and the two teens headed out the door.

At noon they took a cab to the Graveyard and arrived around twelve twenty three to their destination.  The graveyard sign was hanging on a limb as most tombstones were weathered down and broken enough that cement could not fix them. The place had a melancholy feel to it, like if someone died and ten, twenty years later they had to be pulled from their resting spot to be dumped in a garbage dump.

They continued past random chunks of stone and bones of the deceased that’s been sticking up for the dirt was blown away. Things seemed hopeless until they came across a mausoleum entitled “The Graveyard” in all caps.

“Time to see what is so cool about this place.” Lilith said as she pushed the door opened.

Just as she pushed the door open and walked inside, a loud, buzzing alarm rang throughout the mausoleum.

Okay so I realised I hadn't updated Lilith for a while. It's funny because this story was almost finished and the finished chapters were just sitting here doing nothing but collect dust. I have to say that I love Lilith's family. They are just funny with her parents being silly at times and Kairi before she becomes an adult like in A.R. I also apologize for this horrible British accent I gave that random woman; for those of you who find it offensive. I just thought it would be nice to add an accent to a character we may or may not see again.
P.S.: Next chapter has one of my favorite male characters in this book.
